Chocolate Chip Flax Seed Cookies, by Surge

Since a flax seed recipe is in such high demand, here is a cookie recipe that is to die for. Enjoy!

Chocolate Chip Flax Cookies

Cream Together: (take a spoon, and using the back of it mix everything together) use a large mixing bowl.

1 cups brown sugar

1 cups white sugar

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup applesauce

Add:

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 cups flour

2 cups oatmeal (blend in blender fast until powder, it makes the cookies nice and chewy)

1 cups ground flax

Mix together: 6 ounces dark chocolate chips. If you like add raisons, nuts, and cinnamon for flavor. You may need to add a little more flour at the end if it seems to need more body.

Bake: on ungreased baking sheet for 9 minutes at 350 degrees. Take out of oven while still soft...they will firm up while cooling. A good Chewy cookie! Makes about 3 dozen 3 inch cookies

Hidy Ho Surgio,
My cookies are a day old and still very good. Instead of having a nutritious breakfast I just crumbled up the cookies and poured milk over them. It was so good. Thanks again hotty. ;-).

Hello Nico,
I am glad the cookies are still good, but you should really have a good breakfast. Even though the cookies are healthier than regular cookies it still doesn't mean you should just have them for breakfast. I hope you don't have a sugar crash later on in the morning.

Yo Surge,

You make me giggle! I've enjoyed reading all of your comments and responses to other people's posts. Nice effort at editing too!

I'm gonna make your cookies some day. Yum!
